Spinal cord stimulation is a technique for stimulating the spinal cord with an implanted electrode wire placed next to the spinal cord. If included, participants will undergo surgery for implantation of the stimulation device under the skin and with the electrode wire inserted into the space surrounding the spinal cord (epidural stimulation). Standard rehabilitation will be performed before implantation for 6-10 weeks. Rehabilitation training combined with electrical stimulation will be performed for 6 months. The total duration of the study is approximately 12 months. \n\n*Closed loop stimulation typically means there is a stimulus that triggers the stimulation. It is unclear from the description what the stimulus may be in order to consider this closed loop.","age_from":18,"age_to":70,"ais_a":true,"ais_b":true,"ais_c":true,"ais_d":true,"ais_e":false,"time_since_injury_from":3,"time_since_injury_from_unit":"months","time_since_injury_to":null,"time_since_injury_to_unit":"years","healthy_volunteers":false,"inclusion_criteria":null,"study_type":"interventional","allocation":"N/A","brief_description":"The purpose of this experiment is to evaluate the efficacy of Closed-loop Functional Spinal Cord Stimulation on Walking Rehabilitation in Patients after Spinal Cord Injury","detailed_description":"- participants will undergo surgery for implantation of the stimulation device under the skin and with the electrode wire inserted into the space surrounding the spinal cord (epidural stimulation). \n- standard rehabilitation will be performed before implantation for 6-10 weeks.\n- rehabilitation training combined with electrical stimulation will be performed for 6 months.\n- the total duration of the study is approximately 12 months. \n\n*Closed loop stimulation typically means there is a stimulus that triggers the stimulation.
